Shalom Shabazi is one of the greatest Yemenite poets and Kabbalists of 17th century Judaism, with 850 poems also intended to be sung.
The poet also lends his name to the main street of the avant-garde neighborhood of Neve Tzedeq in Tel Aviv, the favorite neighborhood of Ygal Cohen, founder of the restaurant.
